An isochrone is a separate entity in the system that allows you to build reachability zones for medical representatives.
To build an isochrone, follow these steps:
1. Create a copy of the map where you will later build the isochrone. To do this:
Go to the “Layers” section (click the icon).
Select the map layer you need to work with.
Show the selected map layer — click the icon.
Then click “Apply”.
Next, copy the selected map layer. To do this, click “Create a copy of the map”.
In the side panel, enter the name of the new map layer you will continue working with.
Note:
You can copy only polygons without assignment, or polygons that are already assigned to an employee. To copy polygons with assignment, select “Copy with assignment”.
Click “Create layer”.
Note: The system starts the copying process; wait until it is completed.
After the layer is copied, click Apply.
2. After that, you need to build the corresponding isochrone in the copied layer. To do this:
Go to the “Balancing” tab ().
From the drop-down list, select the area you need to work with.
The selected area is highlighted on the map.
Next, you need to balance the selected zone by settlement/city (since a medical representative will work in a specific settlement, and remote settlements will not be within their responsibility). From the drop-down list below, you need to either: a) select a specific settlement, or b) build a reachability zone manually.
Note: To build a reachable area, you must set at least 2 starting points for medical representatives.
To assign a starting point for a medical representative, select the medical representative and, from the drop-down menu, choose “Assign starting point”.
Then place the starting point on the map.
In the same way, place the second starting point (for other medical representatives).
Click Done to exit the starting-point placement mode.
Next, from the drop-down list select “Reachable area”.
As a result, the system switches to reachability-zone building mode, where you need to choose the rule for building the reachability zone. Select a rule based on distance or time.
If you select “Distance”, move the slider to the distance a medical representative can travel within their reachability zone. The maximum distance is 100 km.
If you select “Time”, the maximum time for a reachability zone is 60 minutes.
Enter the name of the reachable area and click “Create”.
As a result, the system will start the reachability zone calculation process. After the reachability zone is built, open it in the list of all zones. The built reachability zone will be displayed on the map.
3. Next, the built territory must be balanced (leveled) by the required criteria. For example, set the “Turnover” criterion to 80%. This means we need the medical representatives’ territories to be balanced by turnover. To start balancing the territory, click “Balance”.
Note: As a result, the system will start the process of balancing territories within the built territory.
