Proxima Cloud CRM uses your device's location to calculate the distance between you and the client when you close a call. If GPS is not set up correctly on your Android device, you may see one of these problems:
- the distance is not shown in the call;
- the distance is much larger than it should be;
- your coordinates were not captured;
- a message at the bottom of the screen says that not all permissions have been granted.
To fix it, check the following settings on your device. The names of the settings may differ slightly depending on the device manufacturer and Android version.
1. Allow Proxima Cloud CRM to use your location
-
If the app shows a message about missing permissions, tap it and tap Allow.
-
In the next window, select Precise and While using the app.
-
Then change the setting to Allow all the time and make sure that Use precise location is turned on.
-
Allow the app to show pop-up windows.
You can also set it up manually:
-
Open Settings, go to Apps and select Proxima Cloud CRM.
-
Go to Permissions → Location. Select Allow all the time and turn on Use precise location.
Important: If precise location is turned off, the device reports only your approximate location, and the distance in the call may be very large.
2. Turn on location on the device
-
Open Settings and select Location. Make sure that location access is turned on.
-
Open Location services and make sure that Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning are turned on. They help the device find your location more accurately.
3. Turn off battery restrictions for the app
Power saving can turn off GPS in the background, which affects the distance calculation. Remove battery restrictions for Proxima Cloud CRM:
- Open Settings → Apps → Proxima Cloud CRM.
-
Open Battery and select Unrestricted.
After you change the settings, close the call again. If the distance is still not shown or is incorrect, see Distance in call.
