The Kind field defines what a widget displays and which settings it needs. Four kinds are available.
Info
Shows a single number or a short line of text from a report — for example, the number of doctors not visited in the last 30 days.
Fields:
- Report — the report the value comes from.
- Legend — the main text (title) of the widget.
- Indicator description — an explanatory line under it.
Table
Shows several rows of a report as a table — for example, the changes of the last seven days.
Fields:
- Report — the report the rows come from.
- Column 1–4 title — the column headers. Leave a title empty to hide the column.
- Column 1–4 value — the report field shown in that column.
Percent
Shows progress towards a target as a gauge — for example, cycle plan execution.
Fields:
- Report — the report the figures come from.
- Data source — the value the percentage is calculated from.
- Legend and Indicator description — the text around the gauge.
Power BI
Embeds one page of a Power BI report directly in the widget, with the data of the signed-in user.
Fields:
- Report — only reports connected to Power BI appear in the list.
- Report page — the page of that report to display. The list is loaded from Power BI, so the page cannot be typed by hand.
⚠️ Important: Two widgets cannot use the same report page. The same report in several widgets is fine — and is the normal way to show different pages of one report — but the combination of report and page must be unique.
Variables and translations
In the Legend and Indicator description fields you can insert a value from the report instead of typing a fixed number. Click Insert variable and select the one you need — it appears in the text between hash marks, for example #value# or Calls done #taskcount_fact# from #taskcount_plan#.
Click the translation icon next to a field to enter the text for every language used in your system.
